PILE OF MANGO LEAVES LT BLUE

   There is no way to describe the backyard without mentioning mango! Several giant mango trees cast shade over our enormous backyard. The best part about having mango trees in the yard is mango season! Mango season means pickled mangoes! It was gathered with our mango picker that my dad made with a long bamboo stick with an old scoop net duct taped to the end. We ate mango until we could not eat anymore. Though it was not all fun and games.

   Big mango trees come with big messes. My brother and I woke up every morning to rake the yard and somehow my brother always convinced me to rake his side. Later in life I found raking the yard therapeutic. I’ll admit that in college, away from home I missed raking the leaves. This design resembles those mango-leaf piles that my brother “asked” me to rake up. This one goes out to everyone who loves seeing a clean yard!
